HOW TO MAKE A DREAM PILLOW

Choose your topic, i.e. psychic dreams, healing dreams, pleasant dreams (no nightmares), etc. Then choose symbols and herbs to correspond with your theme. Use 2 pieces of 5” X 5” cloth or a ready-made cloth bag. Put the symbols on the bag by sewing on stones, or using embroidery (thread or liquid), embossing, appliqué, fabric paint, etc. If you are using cloth, put right sides together and sew three sides. Turn right side out and stuff with herbs & stones. Use an invisible stitch to close the fourth side. If you are using a bag, stuff with herbs & stones, then use the drawstring to close, or stitching for a more permanent closure.

Some dream symbols are: For a dream pillow to answer questions: keys, Eye of Horus, owl. To astral travel: ladder to clouds, rainbow bridge, wings. For peace: dove. For harmony: musical notes. For healing: Green plants, Caduceus. To communicate with the Goddess: Moon, hearts & roses. (See stone charts & books for corresponding stones.)

HANDCRAFTED GIFTS USING CHINESE COINS

Chinese coins are a great symbol of prosperity because they represent money. They are also worn as amulets to protect the wearer against illness and negativity. They are extremely powerful charms for wealth, health and positive energies into your life.

1. Tie 3 or 8 coins together with a red ribbon. Place in your cash register, wallet or purse, or hang in your bill paying area.
2. Wear coins as amulets for protection on hemp bracelets or necklaces, or with other beads or charms.
3. Include coins with gifts as an extra blessing.
4. With red ribbon, make two strings of 4 coins each. Tie them together as a charm for happy marriage, relationship or union.
5. Combine coins with jade beads for a good luck charm.

HOW TO POUR CHAKRA CANDLES

Collect old butter tubs and other suitably-shaped plastic containers.
Lay a popsicle stick over the top of each tub, using it to suspend the wick, which should reach down to the bottom of the tub. Melt old candles of the correct color (or use new paraffin and candle dye) in a double-boiler. Mix crushed stones and drops of oil into each layer as you pour. Pour one layer at a time, allowing each to cool and form a well, which you will then fill. Repeat this a couple of times before going on to the next layer. Be sure the wick stays in the center of the candle as you pour the layers. The stones add healing energies to the layers, and the oils scent them appropriately. When the candle is completed and cooled, turn it out of the tub and trim the wick.

LAYERS:
1. Red, Red Jasper, Cinnamon oil
2. Orange, Carnelian, Musk oil
3. Yellow, Citrine, Ginger oil
4. Green, Aventurine, Gardenia oil
5. Blue, Blue Lace Agate, Ylang Ylang oil
6. Dark Blue, Sodalite, Lily of the Valley oil
7. Light Purple, Amethyst, Lotus oil. These candles make beautiful gifts!
